Assembler A (Union)


This individual will work closely with production personnel and engineers to assemble motors, actuators and electromechanical assemblies in a manufacturing organization. Performs all functions related to the assembly process from component inventory through final assembly. 



  • Employee will read and understand blueprints, process instructions, schematics, mechanical drawings, pictures and other diagrams to assemble complex assemblies and subassemblies.

  • Able to use basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, hex wrenches, torque drivers.

  • Assemble parts or units and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, sub-assemblies.

  • Measure parts to determine tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, drop- indicators.

  • Dexterity β€” the ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.

  • Communicate to others to convey information effectively.

  • Active Listening β€” Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made and asking questions as appropriate

  • Judgment and Decision Making β€” Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.

  • Rework and/or repair assembled products according to engineering specification changes.

  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.

  • Maintain inventory of product at work stations.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.



  • High school diploma and a minimum of 8-10 years related experience required.

  • Must have experience in the assembly of mechanical mechanisms/assemblies, wiring, and cable harnesses.



  • Must be computer literate in MS Word and Excel

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to be hands-on and get the job done on schedule



  • Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
